Can crabbies eat these raw or should I cook them?

It seems like they'd be good for them, especially big Calanthe.

Erm...even if they were okay with it... I'd cook that.

I'd personally rather not risk giving them raw anything. The bacteria that are in anything raw would most likely thrive in a warm, moist environment like a crabitat. I know that there are some people who give their crabs raw beef and such (never chicken - salmonella is ucky), but I don't think I ever would...the thought of billions of bacteria being in the tank and all over my crabs just gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Ive fed raw items. There's also a member here who has fed raw pork chops to her crabs. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Sorry, I thought it was on this forum but it's not. Here's the link to the thread about pork chops.

To make an even better treat, use a hammer to crack the bones open so they can get the marrow. mmmm they like that!

Those CRABS! They're so cute! What kind are they? I love them.
I didn't see any of my crabby cakes drag the meat, but I took it out so it wasn't in too long.

But it seems like crabs like rancid icky meat.
    Ew.

Yeah, they do like older stuff, unfortunately for us as crab owners. Those did seem rather popular...I don't know if I'd consider offering it even after seeing those pictures...I'm not happy when the cooked meat I offer ends up in the sand...I'd probably freak out if a raw piece of meat went into the sand. Ugh...
