So today I went to PJ pets to check out the Hermie Supplies and also to look at the hermies. While looking at them, I noticed they didnt have a thermometer or hygrometer and all the shells painted, they also had tiny huts that looked like football helmets, the guy working there even said it was stupid because of the glue thats in the helmets. Also for some dumb reason they put live crickets in the tank and the food was just veggys that were rotting (I wouldnt eat). The tank smelt really horrible, so the guy working there dug around and found a dead hermit crab that was ripped to pieces and he said it looks as if the other hermies killed it. Wouldn't that mean they didn't have enough shells for each crab, so they had to kill to get one they needed?
I saw one in there that had a normal shell and was active when we took the plastic leaves off of them that had fallen from the glass, I wish I had the 25 bucks to pay for him =(

Wow 25 dollars? What state do you live in? And one time I asked why they had crickets in there they said that they just crawl in there at night.:(

The ones near me are $8 no matter what size. That is VERY Expensive. You should tell them to change their conditions!

You should write them a letter or something. Those conditions are really horrible! :( $25 is crazy for a hermit crab!!! I got Crusty for $4 and Lou-Lou for $7 (which is weird because Crusty came from way better conditions). I can't remember how much Sherby cost.

I dont want to buy live hermits online
Ive been waiting a little bit over a week for Vicki's stuff to come in, I dont want to put a hermie in alot of stress by being confined to a little container for a week or more
