I have found that my crabs enjoy pears. I use and apple slicer to cut and core my pears. I dropped the core in the crabitat and I currently have three crabs pigging out. It has always before seemed that they ignored it, but this time they're caught!!

Yes, my crabs like pears too. Doesn't seem to make much difference which type either. I've tried them all with similar success. Well, by "them all" I mean the ones available in my locale....

The pears I tried are a green variey, but they're not Bartlett....I can't recall the name, but it's a little odd.
