Well after losing Rosita this AM--I saw a window on the side of the tank--what a sigh of relief! :dance2: at least I knew she was alive and I could tell she (Truffles) had molted--about an hour later she was up- of course I cant find her now but I got these during her brief visit

    the peek-a-boo

awww, Herm, what happened to Rosita? i'm so sorry to hear that. she was a straw too, wasn't she?

that first pic of Truffles is cute. i was going to ask if the color loss spots were areas that regenerated during the molt, but she had her BP, didn't she? that's very interesting why the color loss. i forget, how big is she? do you think it's because she's young or do you think it's just bad diet/conditions prior to you getting her?

I dunno Chris--she molted for me in Nov--shared a Turkey feast--and very very slowly--did I say very--slowed down--I thought maybe she wanted to molt again but nah--she was active but not like Chili my other straw--she even changed shells-- maybe she fell hard one day and she just died from that? Not sure

I think juveniles are more prone to lightening........well see if I am sucessful like I was with the other 2 in getting the color to come back.

  6. Congrats! Sorry about Rosita, tho. Maybe her and Elmo are frolicking in Crabbie Heaven
