The first time Shelle dug a hole, I didn't know where she was, and panicked. Naturally, i dug and found her sleeping under the sand. It was a big relief, and a big lesson. Luckily she turned out just fine and I made myself a promise that I wouldn't do that again.

Don't dig, but maybe you could lift up the bottom of the tank and see if you can see her legs underneath in the sand so you know where she is. That always makes me feel better. Don't do it too often, though, or it could be stressful.
I never dig or even look I only dug once because I could smell the dead fish smell and I knew she'd be dead
ok, and it's ok she was adopted from horrid conditions it was a slim chance she'd live she was my first loss
