Woohoo! I let Storm out today and she went all over the place! She really looked like she wanted to run. So she was out for like 10 minutes and I put her back in and she was still trying to climb the ceiling and escape! She really likes running. Also do you think she would get mites from the carpet? She did walk on the carpet.

No. I don't think so. That's great that she's getting some exercise! :D

Storm's perfected the art of climbing upside-down.:) Every time I come home from school I see her upside down on the screen lid. Once I forgot to put the lid fully back on and when I went to check on her she was halfway out of the tank! I better keep an eye on that crab... :)

She's getting out on June 26th. I hope she'll teach my other crabs to be more active- they aren't moving that much. The only way I know that they're eating and drinking is that I see poop. And I know they're drinking 'cause I saw poop in the water bowl. It stunk!

Haha. I used the post reply button on your post to reply!
    ----
Buster has re-buried for the zillionth time. He keeps digging and digging. Hopefully now he's actually molting. Do you think if I put Storm into the main tank while Buster's molting will Storm eat him? I heard E's like to do that. I wouldn't want that to happen.

Also Buster's the only crab who's ever pinched me. Whenever I brought him out to exercise he tried to pinch my fingers and my hand. Do you think after he molts he won't pinch anymore? Actually, I don't even know if he's a he. I never got the chance to check because he kept on pinching. Isn't pinching a pre-molt symptom? And I know excessive digging is one also. Ooh look I'm rambling again.

Sounds good. I think I heard that cheese was only an occasional treat as well as any other milk product. Make sure they are not allergic to dairy.;) I wonder if hermit crabs have allergies...

Ok. Whatever. Lets move on and stay on topic. Has Storm changed shells yet?

No, she hasn't changed shells yet. :/ But she ate for what seems like an hour or more today(she looooves peanut butter and crushed almonds) and she's still eating more this instant. So she might be molting soon.

Also, if a hermit crab is sticking his bp and head into a shell does that mean the hermit crab is inspecting the shell and the hermit crab is to change into it soon? Because I saw Storm doing that a few days ago but she hasn't changed shells yet. Maybe they're dirty. I'll rinse the shells today.

Storm's digging around a lot now and right now she's finally calming down; she's just in the little pot hut I had for her and she's sleeping(the first time she's in there I think!).

Great! Is she going to molt? Has she shown any other signs?

Yeah, digging a lot and eating a lot, too. Becoming a little less active, too. I think those are all pre-molt signs, so hopefully it comes soon.

I haven't seen her eyes lately(she's just hanging out in the pot hut thing) and I don't remember if her eyes were glassy/cloudy
the last time I saw her. I did see some poop in the water bowl so that could mean she was hanging by it. o.o I don't know.
