  1. well, I got a little PP today from Petco. He hasn't come out of his shell yet, even when I bathed him, but he's really pale and looks like he has black tips, so I'm guessing freshly molted. I put him right in the food dish with a lot of crushed cuttlebone...here he is

    and with a dime

Here's my ruggie...not in a turbo, when there are plenty around... :dontknow:

that Straw is beautiful, looks like it has green eyes. I'm jealous, wish I had room for a tank for them. Ugh, I just want big tanks all over the place...

    :hello2: :hello2: congrats on the successful molt :hello2: :hello2:
    Beatiful crabs :icon_biggrin:
  5. I think that's just the flash on the camera, or else something changed while he molted, because they used to be soild black. I love how hairy he is, and that last pic shows it really well! Plus he's my first crab to have molted, so I'm really excited! I've been a little concerned because of the high humidity (still stuck in the low-mid 80s) but I guess it's okay for them, since I haven't lost any crabs and I've had a PP and straw successfully molt! :hello2:

Oh Frenchie!!! Great pics of some awesome crabs!!! :hello2:

Looking at your new PP, I would have to say he's VERY freshly molted!!! :eek:ccasion18:
  8. yeah, he looks VERY freshly molted...and I don't think he's doing too well. Not moving around much (if at all) and it almost looks like he might have dropped his bp (I can't see it in the shell opening like in the pictures)...there's still no smell, and I don't want to disturb him anymore so he's just staying put with plenty of cuttlebone nearby.
