Thought you guys would like to see the creation.
OH MY GOSH!!!! That is PHENOMENAL! Your tanks are always amazing!!! That is Hermie Paradise!!!! How do you do that??
That's amazing!!! i only WISH i could do something like that!!!
I love it. It's a crabby oasis.
Just an fyi though, the shack thing has pine in it.
Thanks for the heads up Deedee, but the ingredients on the package didn't list pine.
I did dip it in salt water. When I see it starting to fall apart or they eat on it, I will take it out.
Did the ingredients have a bunch of rubber and chemicals in it or was it just like 'Log'. I would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to the crabs consuming it. I think it's meant for hamsters and guinea pigs and I don't think they eat the same things as hermit crabs....
But, Your tank is AWESOME I just love it! How can you make such awesome tank? I thought mine was pretty darn cool when I added the second level shell shop and moss pit but that looks just great!
I love it, come do mine, come do mine
That's so cool!! I'm sure those hermies LOVE it!!
You are right, not everything for hamsters, etc is hermie preferred. No chemicals, or unpronounceable ingredients were listed.
Just to be on the safe side, I am going to pull it out, take off the top and use it for a roof on a lego hut. I pulled out my sons' legos and will create something.
(there was a reason why I saved their toys.)
I always do that too; if I can't pronounce it then it's not going in. I LOVE the little roof thing on it, though! I had a giant coco hut with a roof of straw but the straws fell out one by one and I finally decided that, unless I wanted the floor of my tank covered in straws, I better take it out. I ended up just yanking off the roof. Maybe you could make a little lean to on the side of a rock. Also, what are the ingredients? It still might be safe. Is it like wooden or rubber?
what a cool tank its almost better than mines lol
The ingredients list Alfalfa, fescue straw, honey, glycerin, and starch. I didn't want to take a chance since many companies do not list all of the ingredients. I saved the roof and created a new hut. In fact, while I was on a role, I made a second three sided hut with a lego roof.
HAH! That's awesome!
