Well, this is my first post on thsi forum. Pretty cool site. Anyways, I just got a natural sea sponge for my hermit crabs here....and they started to eat it....Is that good? Or bad? Cause this sponge is like herion to them, they can't get enough of it.

Let me know if I should make them stop eating it. Thanks,

Its fine. There can be bits of sea items left in the sponge to eat.

They like to eat it. I used to have hermit crabs who would rip the sponge they had all apart, lol. It is OK for them to eat it.

When I was a clueless owner about 5 years ago i used regual dish sponges (with out soaps of course) and they would rip it to pieces and play with the little balls.
