I know. I said I wouldn't buy any more crabs. But those guys sat in the most awfull pet shop I've ever seen. At least they gave me a reason to finish the new crabitat I've been planning for ages (the former bearded dragon tank).
So here they are, first the three nameless ones:

They are cute Jed.  What kind of substrate do you have????  I love all the cork you have in there, that's cool.  Does the waterfall really work?  Batteries or not?  Where'd you get it?

I use coconut fibre substrate, it looks a bit weird in the pictures because I mixed fresh substrate with substrate from the old crabitat. It's mixed with moss, leaves, bark and resembles compost/soil after two years with springtails and booklice at work. The waterfall does work and you can buy a fogger that fits into it, too. It's this model:

    Thanks for the info Jed.

I knew you spoke German and knew a lot of German stuff, but after I looked at the page you just sent and then I went to your profile.  I didn't realize you LIVED in Germany.  How very cool.  Are you from there or do you have a spouse that's in the military?  I spent 2 years over there when I was in the Air Force, in Bitburg.  I traveled all over the place, I loved Frankfurt, Mannheim, Nuremburg, Heidelburg & Munich but I can't remember if I ever made it to Hamburg.  Oh yeah, my favorite place was crossing over into Luxemburg.  The border area was so beautiful, but I loved that city too.  Lots of good times over there.

So, ready for some company Jed? :sign10:

Chris, I am German. I came to the LHC (then the HCA and then the Addiction) when I first got crabs because there existed literally no info on crabs in German and I felt a bit like Germany's lone crabber LOL Between us, we have seen most of Germany - you the south and me the north  I've been to Stuttgart last year because my BFs granddad lives there, but otherwise I haven't seen much of the south unfortunately.
There were Belgian troops in the town I grew up (near the Ruhrgebiet) - one of my earliest memories are tanks thundering down the street in front of our house :icon_biggrin:
