    Hi everyone,

One of my crabs has mites on her eyes and I was wondering if the mites are harmless and I should leave it alone or do something about about. The mites and white colored.

    Thanks!

    You'll need:

    • A bowl or small container
    • New climbing wall, hut or anything else not washable
    • New sand, gravel, moss or dirt(whatever substrate you have)
    • Water(sink)
    • towel,washcloth or paper towel
    • Bottled water (DISTILLED)
Microwave the the bottled water for 30 seconds, if it's too hot set aside to cool down a bit. The water is supposed to be lukewarm.
Put your crab in the bowl and let him soak for a while. In the meanwhile, clean the tank or replace it with a new one. Make sure it's perfectly clean otherwise your crab will get the mites back as soon as you put it back in the old tank.

The mites might be harmless, but there is no way to know over the internet with no pictures because there are thousands of species of mites and it's extremely hard to identify them all.
