Do you have some type of shelter in your crabitat???
I can help you find how many gallons you tank is if you give me the dimentions. It does not look like a thirty gallon tank. But maybe you are talking about liters or whatever people in Australia use?
Thanks cococrisp for your help. I will get you the measurements by tomorrow. Cos I'm at work right now.
Because my marine tank is around 60 gal which is 65cm by 60 cm by 60cm
And my crabitat looks like half the size so I am just estimating is about 30 gal Not sure if I'm right or wrong.
I might be wrong but 1.5 to 2 inches doesn't sound like tiny class, I think my large one is about a bit over 1 inch and he's a monster compared to one of our other crabs. I think that's closer to medium?
With that in mind, I think you still need more sand. A bit over two times the height of your largest crab I think it was. So they can fully burrow and play around down there and make caves. It's gonna get heavy, not sure what you have your tank resting on at the moment.
Perhaps the original poster is referring to overall shell size, not shell opening size? Just a thought!
Yup, i am talking about their size including their shell.
And by the way my crabitat measures 45cm by 35cm by 45cm.
