I'm a newbie here, and I wanted to show off my new 40 gallon that I just got yesterday. It's not perfect yet, as I just set it up, but here's what it looks like so far.

    Do you have gauges?

Ditch the pellet food. Offer fresh meats, veggies and fruits. Check out the safe list here.

Other then that it's a fantastic looking tank!

I love the net on the back. Where did you get it? Is it the net and starfish that Walmart sells in the craft section?

I'd hate to see it when it's "perfect" - I'm jealous enough now!

    Thanks!

I did ditch all commercial food, after reading more on this site. Now they eat a portion of whatever meal I'm eating. :)

Yes, I got the netting from Walmart, in the craft section. They don't use it as much as I'd think they would, but they do use it occasionally.

Again, thanks for all the remarks, and I'm really thankful that I found out about the dangers of commercial food! :D

OH and yes, I do have gauges... they are both electric, and they are both calibrated. I just hadn't stuck them back in the tank yet. One of toward the top, and the other is at the surface of the substrate. :)
