Merry E or Merry Ruggie? Or a Merry something else?

    This is Merry in his stupid Xmas painted shell. Bought him a couple weeks ago. Leftover Xmas crab, I guess. Not sure what he is. Originally thought Ruggie, then E, then now I just don't know.

    Eucadorian or Ruggie? Or something else? He is shaped more like a PP than an E. Skinny furry legs. Greenish color.

    Looks like a ruggie to me........but I didn't realize that my blue rug was actually an E until after she molted, so I could be wrong. (no WONDER Bonnie is such an active little brat, being an E explains a LOT! lmao)

    It's really really hard to tell compressus and rugosus apart sometimes, but I'm fairly certain your little guy is a rugosus too.

    The one definite way to tell is to looks at the antennea...if it's light with some orange its a ruggie, if it's black its an E. [​IMG]
