Last week we bought some pork ribs but my wife doesn't like meat off the bone so I cut out all the bones. I carefully removed the fat and left some meat, broiled the bones for awhile to cook them and get rid of more fat, then froze them for later.

Last night I decided to feed the first bone so I cracked it open with a hammer and set the 3 pieces in with the hermit crabs. It was an instant success, they fed for hours on the thick marrow, the most crabs I've ever seen eating at once - even the smallest were able to pick at the marrow and bits of meat on the bone.

So... if you get meat and it has big bones, cut a few out, cook them, and crack them open for your crabs once or twice a month :)
