    Thank you! How kind. :)

I just use 'macro mode' on my camera, and get as close as they'll allow, which is a huge challenge in itself... ;)

Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I don't. It's hard because when I have to use zoom it always ends up blurry, but I almost always have to use zoom because they're not too fond of my sticking a camera in their face. So, I've just gotta find a good mix between the two. As I said, for me it's pure luck (not so much any sort of talent) to capture a good shot with these kiddos.

My rats are different... some are super-photogenic, and I can take excellent pictures of them all day. Others, I've never once had a good shot, despite having them for years. They are stubborn little buggars, and they've learned very quickly what the camera is!

Those are great pics. You should create your own photo gallery and upload them.

Victoria - Yeah, if you're talking about the 10th picture (the 2nd to last picture), then that's a rug. I've got others, but they were buried. :)

Hildegarde - LOL! Too bad I don't take model worthy pictures of them... I definitely need to hone up on my photography skills.

Rats? Sounds like you like unique pets! Great hermit crab pics. I have to agree that they are hard to photograph.

They are a piece of cake compared to some of my rats. I have rats that I've had for 3+ years that I still don't have a good shot of. Then there's other rats I have that are super photogenic who I have plenty of great shots of.
