On my mouse forum people were talking about making mealworm and cricket bread. I was thinking if I could apply the same concept to crab food.

    My planned ingredients:
    Unbleached oat flour
    Crickets
    Superworms
    Dehydrated carrot chunks
    Iodine-free sea salt
    Yeast
Sugar (yeast eats all the sugar, so none is left afterwards)

Or I could try unleavened bread, and leave out the yeast and sugar, if you thought that would be better.

In front of the crabitat! :)
I don't think that sugar is best for the hermies. Unleavened bread might be a slightly better choice. Sounds great though!

I thought that too, and asked my dad (the bread expert), and he says that the sugar is only for the yeast to eat. The yeast will eat all of the sugar, so there will be little to no sugar left in the finished product.

I have to wait for my crickets and superworms to die off first, right now I only have a few dead ones. I'm raising them for my various other critters, so I'm just picking out the dead ones that my other animals won't eat. It's bound to take awhile.
Expect pictures in about a month. :)
