It's hard to believe that my babies are growing up!  I know, I know....18 months isn't REALLY a birthday, but for these tiny babies, it is another milestone!   Sadly, only 3 of the orginal 4 ants are still alive.  I lost Sprinkle to the stress of being moved from their 10-gallon playpen, to the 20L, about a year ago. :(

And so, I will, once again, walk you through their tender little lives for the past year & a half.~~~~~~~~>

The arrival, August 18, 2005.  All four ants could fit together on a DIME!:

One of the ants at 4 months, just after completely another molt:

Dottie, at about 4 months...she REALLY looks like an "ant" in this picture~

Two of the ants at 6 months old....you can see how much they have grown already! ~~~

The ants at 1 year old!  They have grown leaps & bounds!  They were truly micros at this age:

And now!!!!  Today I took these pictures of Sparks, modeling with two of the original ant shells:

I have a hunch that at 2 yrs. of age, they will all be teenies!

And I don't want to leave out three other special little guys that turned 18 months old two days ago.  When I got these too, they were double the size of the ants, but two of them could STILL fit together on a dime.  They shared the ant's 10-gallon tank, and traveled with them to the 20L.  Now, the ants & these three guys share the 40-breeder with other friends.

    Elmo:

And Peek-a-Boo (It is rare I ever get a shot of her!  She is STILL extremely shy!):

Thanks for the update, glad they are doing good. And wow, they have grown so much! I remember when you first got them. It was from an ebay seller who was giving you smalls, but never said they were this small. Right?

Yep!  You are right, Mac!  And that EBay sell sent them in a little bag, with no moisture.  Five of the nine babies were DOA. :crybaby2:
