I just boiled an organic egg and gave the shell to Ocean because she just molted and the rest to Sherbert, Crusty, and Sky. Ocean seems to like it!

oneonion i have used these to and my hermies did enjoy them! that is a nutritional suplement with mostly calcium it contains some cuttle bone and it is only about 2 or 3 dollars. you can leave it in your tank for 2 weeks is what the thing says but if you put it on a little dish it might be fine for 3 but if it starts to discolor throw it out right away it could be mold from humidity and wett sand

I got a free cuttlebone at a pet shop today! It was only 2 inches long so the cashier gave it to me for free! You should try looking for broken ones at a pet store near you maybe they'll give it to you for free too.

Yep I discovered cheap cuttlebone at my pet store too. They sell broken pieces for 99cents each, much cheaper than the $3 ones from the pet section in the grocery store.

I get mine from Walmart in the bird supply section. Here where I am it is ninety-nine cents for a whole one, and de crabbies love it. I look in the boxes though because some are larger than others, and I get the larger one. :D

Sherbert was eating uncrushed cuttlebone today in the basket! She made a really big mark on it for her size! It was uncrushed because I keep all the hermit crab food in the basket and then I crush it when I put it in the food dish. She was eating the cuttlebone like crazy and then she started drinking for two hours straight!

Wait, the cuttlebone has to be crushed? I put it in the tank un-crushed. Is that okay?

I think it's just easier for them if it's crushed. They could eat it both ways though. Sherbert is so strong she was able to eat it while it was still hard!

So I improved their diet. Hopefully this is a lot better! Please give more suggestions.
Today, I fed them flower petals, raspberries, and chicken veggie baby food. Yesterday they had shrimp, dried fruit, cantaloupe, celery leaves. Tommorrow they will have green bean baby food, bananas, cuttlebone, carrots, and possibly more shrimp. Edible things in the tank are eco earth, choya wood, coconut huts, and cork bark. Other foods I give them are apple, coconut, other berries, broccoli, zuchini, asparagus, calci sand, and more that I can't think of right now. I hope this is a lot better than before!

Wow! That sound fabulous. I trow whatever I can find in the fridge in my crabs tank. They get random stuff we compost like apples and egg shells and beans etc. Your crabs will be very happy, Laughs!:D
