Ok all, as promised, here is my Indo; pictures taken yesterday. After like 5-6 weeks underground, it's finally on the surface.

What absolutely BEAUTIFUL coloring, Chris!!! :hello2:
He obviously had a VERY successful molt!  GORGEOUS!!!

He is also one of the smallest Indos I have seen.  Our Petco only carries the giant monster Indos & Straws...many times as big as my fist!

Oh wait Kathy, the one Steph picked up yesterday is a little smaller than that. I'm pretty sure that it's an Indo, nearly the same coloring as this one was when we first got it.

Thanks for all the compliments though, we are pretty proud mommas! To know that we actually had one molt (one that we KNOW molted for sure) and the fact that it was an Indo that had a successful molt. Someone, I think Vicki, told me recently that they think Indo's are nearly as delicate as Straws so to know that the 'tat conditions are good for an Indo to have a good molt is fantastic news to us. Hehehehe, REALLY proud mommas...

Fantastic photos, and a beautiful Indo! Congratz on the successful molt!!!

My indo Goten is of similar size, and an almost identical shell! Now that I see your indo's bright coloring, I can definetly tell Goten has an "ashy" look about his exo. Makes sense as he's been draining the water dishes over and over again the last few days, probably in preparation for a molt. I just wish he's get on with it, as he's been doing this and eating a lot for the last week.

As far as what we are feeding, it's really only fresh fruits and veggies, some meat occasionally, Total flakes, fresh coconut, nuts (walnuts only but I got more this weekend), dried 10-grain cereal, peanut butter, unsalted/unbutteres popcorn, honey, dried or reconstituted seaweed, mango. Just all kinds of stuff. I rarely use the commercial stuff, I might sprinkle a tiny bit on top the food one day every other week. I just got rolled oats this weekend, nuts and some frozen silversides this weekend. I try to post on my blog the menus but I've lost track a little here and there in the past couple of weeks, but a lot of it's there so take a look and see.

Shadow: This Indo was eating a lot of food and when we got it Steph noticed that there was a molt sac way back in there and it started to grow some gel legs shortly before it went under. About 1-2 days before it went under it sat in the IO dish for a good hour. I honestly started to freak out a little about that because I've read SO many posts about people who's crabs started sitting in the water dish, then went naked and died so I was thinking this poor crab is PPS'd to the max and was going to die. My other avatar (I replaced it with that heart thing) showed it sitting in the IO dish looking like it was playing poker or at a bar ordering a drink, lol. The real drag though was how long that crab was underground, I swear it had to be 6 weeks. It's still pretty inactive, hiding back under the log. I haven't seen it out walking around at all yet but hopefully it will get it's strength back soon and come back out so I can see it more. It is a sweety, nice crab.

Thanks for all the compliments folks, thanks a lot. :icon_biggrin:

My indo's weren't real active. Id find them occasionally if I was moving stuff around. They weren't real interested in exploring :dontknow:

Well that's great Vicki. I swear, I have the most subdued and mellow crabs in my tank. Nothing going on hardly ever. In fact, I haven't seen a crab walking around in two days. That's really a drag. :crybaby2:
