It has only been the last week or two that my tank has had excellent conditions, and I think Seacil went down to molt yesterday! He is down about 2" in one corner of the tank. I put some sand over him to see if he came up today at all, and he hasn't. I am gonna try to section him off some from the other two so they don't dig him up by accident.

Is there anything else I should know or do to keep an eye on him?

Well, i can see his shell a little on the side, so that is enough peace of mind for a couple weeks.

    Awesome!
I always am gonna think molting is scary, because two of my crabs died from it. But, that was because I didn'y provide them with the stuff they needed, and had to learn the hard way. But, you seem different. I think they got a better chancde than any of my deceiced crabs.
    Happy crabbing!

Good job! i broke the rules a couple times and am ashamed for checking up on him... but i was worried mainly about the fact that he buried himself under the water and might not be able to get out. Just keep the tank at the closest to optimal conditions (i heard a little extra humidity is good for molting crabs) and make sure he still has access to food and water =]
