I have 10 pp's and many are different shades, some orange some very dark purple. I was curious how many of you have lots of color variation in the same species in your tank=)

Lily is a dark brown with red highlights (big crab in profile pic.)
Houdini was at one point bright orange, but is now more of a classic pale red and purple PP (well right now she's pale because she needs a molt...)
KK is the classic coloring with a more tannish hue than anyone else really
Sprite is more pale purple, light red, and pink
    Spark is purple all around
boo is more red and orange
    Spike is purple like Spark
Kermit is kind of brown like lily but more purple than red
Caprice is light red with dark red legs and pale purple claws
and Carmella was faded when I got her and is still working on her first molt- but I think she is a pale red and some orange.

    So basically everyone is different.
I have some pretty good pics at my website: www.frostfirecrabs.weebly.com- under crab profiles. I have to get that pic of when Houdini was really orange...

Buddy was a red color (really red) untill he molted . And Dutch is almost black and always has been since I rescued him.

I have 6 Crabbies now (all pp's) and they range everywhere from light tan with orange, basic light tank, to almost black with orange on the joints to almost black with the bottom half of the legs being an orangish-red color.... I have to admit that they come in more colors than I thought they would but the colors and different personalities make it so much easier to tell who is who....lol... :chuckle:
