You must have some pretty hungry crabs there! I've had my cholla wood for over a year, and no one's munched on it ...yet.

Oh I had no idea they ate those! I've been wanting to buy one but I can't seem to find a store that carries them.

I had one that the one end got funky- threw it under the tank and it seems ok now--maybe lots of sunshine and time to air out--got nothing to lose.........Its very hard for me to get the big ones- I like to hang those- if they go all the way thru this I will be mad!

I've looked to too DaisyCrab. Why does Ontario seem to SUCK when it comes to crab supplies! They sell the crabs, then you're on your own. :( We should start a business. We'd be RICH, I tell ya! Although, we seem to be the only ones on here from the area, so maybe not! LOL ... :D

They probably don't carry any supplies because according to the "experts" at the pet store, we're supposed to keep them in those little plastic kritter keepers:rolleyes:. Can you imagine a cholla/choya in one of those boxes...LOL?

Hello to those of you in Ontario! I'm in Barrie going to school for a few years and bought a couple of hermies to keep me company. After I had given up the hunt for this cholla/choya wood that the crabs are supposed to love, I stumbled across it at, believe it or not - Michael's. It's not scented or anything, just natural wood, and I believe they had 2 lengths. It was kept near the bags of natural sea shells. Another great tip- they sell natural sea sponges in bags in the painting section, and they're WAY cheaper than the pet store. Hope that helps! I've gotten a lot for my crabitat from that craft store!
