I'm new here! I have the the three best hermit crabs in the world (no offense to your cutie pies)1 Their names are Ocean, Honey, and Sherbet! I had Ocean for a little bit over a year, and Honey and Sherb (nicknamed Speedy) for a couple of months. Once I got Speedy, I decided it was time to learn more about these magnificent creatures! Everybody here seems really nice and friendly, so thank you! This website is awesome so far!

Welcome! I think it's pretty funny that you have a crab named Sherbert, who you call Sherb, but its nickname is Speedy!

I call Sherbet Sherb or Sherbet most of the time; I call him/ her Speedy when I put her/ him on the ground/ table, and starts running around really fast! She/ he runs as if her/ his life depends on it, and wins almost all of the races against my other hermit crabs!

    Welcome to the mix!

I hardly ever see my crabs these days - three (out of four of them) seem to be molting under the sand.

No smell so I assume they're alive just getting ready for their next "home".

It's been a bit lonely. Of course I saw them more when I first got them...because my substrate wasn't deep enough so they were always visible.

Now they are in substrate heaven...real (sanitized) sand from Coney Island!
