Hi everyone, it has been a while since I last wrote, but everyone is always so helpful and I need you tips/advice again.

Can I give the exoskelton to the other hermit crabs, or will they get sick?

How do I get the dead hermit crab out of the shell?

How long do I wait to make sure he is dead. He starting to smell fishy, it is not overwhelming, but if you pick him up and smell near the shell you can smell it. One day after he shed his exo, I found him flipped over (upside down, shell opening face up) and he has not moved since. He is in a tank by himself with his exo but no movement nothing, I even misted him and gently touched his claw ; no movement at all.

    Any tips are appreicated, thanks
    Sharyn

We are all sorry for your loss. It happens sometimes. Molting is very stressful.

It definitely sounds like he's dead and it's safe to get rid of him. Sorry to hear that.

Thank you both for the kind words. DO you know what I should do with the exo? and how do I get him out of the shell?
