The most important thing to do for a naked crab is to give it a selection of properly sized shells and isolate it from the other crabs, who could damage its tender abdomen. Often, given a choice of shells, a naked crab will eagerly hop into one. If it doesn't get into a shell, try to put it in a glass with a damp paper towel at the bottom and a few empty shells. If the crab still doesn't get into a shell, leave it in a dark, humid environment to reduce stress and give it time to reshell.
If the crab does not re-shell it may also mean impending death. I had two crabs go nakie and woudl NOT go back in a shell even in ISO...........and they died later.
A good place to go to find out if your hermie is naked, is www.hermit-crabs.com. Good luck!!! :icon_colors:
