I just started my crab tank yesterday, and this morning I went to mist the medium I bought, not realizing that a crab climbed up it. He fell about four feet. I picked him up and carfully put him back in the habitate. He stayed in his shell for about a minute, then got up and walked into his hut. What are the chances that I injured him beyond help, and how long will it take to know this? Boy am I stupid, or what.:(

my crabs have a habit of climbing to the top of my 10 gallon tank and attaching themselves to the top wire cover. I know there have been times when they have fallen down to the bottom of the tank and they always seem fine afterwards.

I hate to say it but my children have dropped there hermies a couple of times, or they would run to fast for them to keep up with. they always seemed to be ok. They bounmce right back and keep going....some have the energy of the energizer bunny.. lol.... Now i only let them hold them ither on the floor with a blanket put down or on the bed. ( don't want to take any chances just incase)

Thanks everyone. He is doing fine. He's not climbing, but can you blame him? I just checked on him and he was out moving around and eating. Very cool.:):):)
