MMMM....peanut butter in the no-bakes!? I've only had them out of chocolate, no peanut butter! Sounds awesome. I bet the microwave recipe is easier than the stove top one. I always have trouble with the "soft ball stage" thing. If you don't get that right, the whole batch is ruined. I'm going to try it using the microwave! Thanks!

"Soft ball stage" is when you dribble a little of the cooking mixture into a cup of cold water and it forms into a mushy little ball. If you surpass this stage, the cookies can be like hockey pucks...if it isn't quite there, the cookies will have to be eaten with a spoon...done that many times:eek:
I tried this microwave no bake recipe...with the peanut butter....wonderful!:D I actually made a double recipe, so I had to increase the cook time a little. More to enjoy...oink!oink!

You can take the guess work out of finding the "soft ball" stage by buying a Candy Thermometer. It has all the marks for the different stages "soft ball" "hard ball" ect. Just put it in the pot with whatever you making and when the temperature gets to the right stage you *know* it's done! And they very inexpensive.
