    I am planning on getting some E's when i redo my tank! Do they need any special care compared to PP's?:p

    No they don't. They like the same things as PP's(salt water, climbing, etc) Be prepared for alot of activity! E's tend to be very busy

    hey E's are like PP's they need all the same care except they tend to be roudy little guys my friend just got 4 and they completly demolished her tank!

    i just went into walmart yesterday and found this cool kinda shower caddy thing and my hermies love it! N my new little E's are crazy active!

    i have a shower cady filled with moss as part of a second level. and my hermit crabs love it. the shower cady is a plastic container with strong suction cups, it can be found in the bath/shower section it's like 5 bucks i think

    mine was 10 but its pretty big i also put another one in i got my main floor with sand and second with reptile moss and my third with eco earth. I find the reptile moss makes the tank smell really nice!

    E's will thrive in the same conditions PPs do.. they are a little more social with each other, and from what I have seen they are less shy and more likely to be active in the daytime. They also grow more slowly than my PPs, and don't tend to get as big. The one thing that you may need that you don't already have is different choices in shells. While the PPs prefer turbo styles with round openings, my E's tend to be more picky and only like "D" shape openings such as Tiger & spotted Moon snail shells, Babylonia, and the smaller E's Love these little white cancellaria shells. I find that the E's are the easiest to keep.

    I love my new E's there crazy little guys, my boyfriend just made a new mesh lid at work cause hes a 2nd year welding appretice and my crabs love my new set up i put 2 peices of cocomat in there 2 more levels EE and reptile moss aswell as a new hidey log and netting but what my e's seem to like doing most is climbing the cocomat then walking across the top of the lid its sooo funny and cute to watch i think there the most active in the tank and the most social!

    By the way make sure that you get 2 E's as i have one and he gets depressed with no other crab of his kind in the tank/.

    they get along and become friends with just about any other type of crab. Like my PP Baby and my straw are inseperable right now ill take one out to take a look at one of them and say put them on the second level they will meet half way n start wavin there inntenas like crazy, they even follow eachother to the water and the food dish!
