Can you isolate him, say with a two liter soda bottle with the bottom cut out and placed over him and pushed down to the bottom of the tank? That way no one would bother him and he can finish eating his exo. I think I would wait to remove him to an Iso tank right at this moment because it may stress him even more.

If there is room, perhaps you can put a shell or two in there as well.

Still surface molts going on in your tanks, I'm worried your sand is not deep enough and not wet enough for them to properly dig in.

Like Mckenny said, cut out the bottom of a soda bottle and put the bottle over him so he has some privacy. If you don't have one, then maybe you can put a coco hut over him with plastic separating him from the other crabs. Let him be and try not to check on him (I know it's hard!) because surface molts are especially stressful. I don't know if it's only me, but is he missing a leg? It looked that way in the picture. Along with his exo, you can feed him cuttlebone, honey, organic plain peanut butter, egg shells, shrimp with the exo, and other calcium and protein foods.
What kind of sand are you using, and what is the consistency? Maybe he didn't dig because it's too dry, like strawberryskittle said.
Please fill out the emergency questionnaire so we can help Waffles more.
Good luck to you and Waffles!
