I noticed eggs and egg shells were on the safe food list.

How do you prepare them for the food try?.. I mean.. cut em up in small piece of what?

Also, can the eggs be a few hours old or should they be fresh?..

I give my crabs the yolk of a hardboiled egg. Some people also break up pieces of the shell and put it in with the food.

Well, Crabs love stinky food so the older the better probably untill they are "rotten" You can cook them hardboiled or cook them fried with crab safe oil (i forget the type off the top of my head) and yes they can eat the shell it provides calcium.

I'm going to add some bit of the shells to the egg and put it in his tray and try it out.
