    Stank!.. LOL.

Anyway, does your alls tanks stink? It's not a dead smell cause God knows I've seen them both moving. Does the sand eventually start to stink or something?.. I almost gagged this morning when I lifted the lid off that tub to look at my lil' buddies.

The food hasn't been in there too long. It does sorta smell like hot hand that has gotten wet or something and then been heated. I dunno.

I dont use sand in my cage. My crabs never liked the sand. I use the ECO-Earth stuff that comes in a brick. I do however get little flying creatures in my cage though.

Jsut make sure that you change the food every 24 hours and then come back here later if it still stinks. If it still does then I have no clue what it could be.

Yes, sand can stink! That was one of the reasons I switched to EE. I was not happy with the quality of the sand available in my area, and the dust was terrible.

what do you moisten the sand with? They could be burying food in the sand.

You know if sand gets wet and the crabs have storred food there at one time, or peed in it, then it would smell!
