Just curious about whether anyone else lets their crabs out for limited amounts of time to play/exercise/explore in their home and how often you do so. I find that mine really enjoy it and haven't had any complications. I make sure not to do it with crabs I've had less than a month and those who are getting ready to molt or have recently molted.

I just think they enjoy a little time to explore. In the wild they walk miles a day and no matter how large of a tank you have, they can't walk miles in it. Plus, even in their natural habitats, the temperature and humidity are not constantly at the same level; so, I figure a limited amount of time out, if their other conditions are stable, is ok. But, that's just me

I bring mine out once a week when I clean their cage that is if anyone hasn't disappeared to molt. They get really active and run around like crazy. I got one of those small animal fences that you set up in your living room or were ever and I put them in there and watch them run around they seem to really like it...:)
