    It's funny, until I came here I never thought of the crabs in my reeftanks as social but you are right...they are! I keep marine hermits such as redlegged mexican hermits{aka lefthanded hermits}, bluelegged hermits, electric blues, zebra hermits, and there are a few oddballs in the mix.{unidentified}
    Every night at just before lights out,they begin a trek up to the highest coral in the tank,where they hang out in a pile until morning. :D I also keep true crabs known as emerald crabs and a tiny crabcalled a pom pom crab that keeps anemones in it's claws for feeding and protection{it uses the anemones to mop up food}. Other crustaceans too, blood or aka scarlet cleaner shrimp, skunk cleaner shrmp, coral banded shrimp, tiny sexy shrimp, and a pistol shrimp.
    I wonder why some are on land, and some stay in the ocean? Did they evolve from the ocean to the land..or?
