Probably not - there are Australian crabbers on here, an Israeli one (I think I remember that being said at one point), and people from all over the US with work and school schedules. So I doubt if I'd see any of you ever in my life. :)

I thought people were opposed to a chat room being created because of information being shown but this is even worse. No offense but this isnt such a great idea.

That is true. . . And if we are giving out our addresses to people so they can visit us, that is very dangerous, too!!!

    Yes.
giving an adress to ANYONE (even if its a PM) is incredibly dangerous.
There are a lot of gopod people out there, but also bad.
You just can't trust anyone on a forum with any personal informaition,
not trying to sound cynical, (skeptical) or anything.

.... Yes.... after that whole discussion on how good or bad giving out personal details are.

I for one have done a decent amount of real life meetings. Never once did I give anyone my home address, and why anyone would suggest that as the only way for everyone to meet is silly.

It's very dangerous to give personal information out on the internet. On the news, a girl was tied up in chains for two days because she gave her address on a chat room!! I would never give my address on the computer, but maybe when I'm an adult I would meet with another crabber on this website in a random public area! That would be so cool!!! :D
I want to break the record, too! But it's not even close to 20- 200something!!! Luckily guests count. I made a thread about it a while ago. I'm going to pm jason and ask.

I have met one person from online - I adopted her two crabs through the CSJ Adoption Center, but we met at a public place and I brought my husband with me just in case. I have given my address to one person because she was sending me some oak leaves and shells for my crabs, and it was somewhat nervewracking, and I have sent some of those oak leaves to another mod at the Hermit Crab Paradise forum, but that is the extent of it. Then again, I am an adult and can make somewhat more educated decisions than I did when I was a kid.

As for the whole, "as many people on the site at the same time" thing,
I would LOVE to break the record! :D I was real excited when I found out there were 10 members on line at the same time last wednesday! If we could break the 20 record, do you think the site would become more popular?

When I got here, the number of active members was 80 something. Now it's 126 or something. It seems like the site is getting more popular.

Don't listen to me! I don't know what I am talking about! I thought it sounded like a good idea, but it also sounded like a very dangerous idea!

P.S. I wasn't the one who created the thread and suggested it in the first place. CoolDoggy10 was.;)
