crab eggs

    :confused: I have a large land hermitt and inside her shell she carries around a black ball with shiny white stuff inside,she is able to move it around inside her shell but Inever see her take it out,what could it be?

    That sounds like a molt sac. I've seen crab eggs and they are in a clearish blob of gell that surrounds the abdomen and the eggs are orange in color.

    The molt sac holds water and helps break the exo when the crabbie molts.

    Is what you are seeing under the belly at your crabs back legs?

    They are at her back legs, thanks for the answer just want to make sure dont want to loose her shes our biggest.. Jennifer
