What species is a Coenobita Scaevola? I googled it to no results. Vicki?
This might help out a little.
I must say I was wondering the same thing...they are adorable! I guess it's time to take a trip to oman and smuggle some home...anyone with me? ;D
Yea I googled and got the same pic, but they look like ruggies to me.
Well, I am going to get my dad to take some pics of the crabs that are out at the CPF in Yemen, see if they look like this at all.
They are cute huh! I got the list from Kerie
I am a Straw now! Ruggie no more!
I think the Scaveola's look much like Variablilis, but with less/no spots (I know I spelt one of those two wrong...)
Look @ the huge, honkin' shell on that lil guy! S/he's adorable. Very, very cute!
I have a Hermie in a Shell Just like it
Wow, yet another species I hadn't heard about. That is a cute crab.
I googled and came up with a bunch of stuff, but I didn't go through it all, just skimmed the addy to be sure they weren't all the same.
I have to say the Scaevola are pretty darn cute, they got those cute beady eyes like the E's and the pretty white of the ruggie.
So Vicki, can you give us a list of what the ranks are?
Here it is. The numbers are how many posts you have to reach before you get that title. The way Matt's going I'm going to have to come up with more LOL
Coenobita Scaevola 0
Coenobita Rugosus 50
Coenobita Perlatus 100
Coenobita Compressus 250
Coenobita Clypeatus 500

I have to post another 800 some odd times to become a coconut crab?
Make him work harder for that "Coconut Crab" title Vickie! Mwahahaha. lol.
yeah, at this rate, he'll be a coconut crab in two weeks! :
What the heck are we doing up at 2 am on Christmas morning? LOL I suppose I should get some sleeping...
lol May take that advice Shadow
So what shall the nickname be for the Scaevola? Shall we call them Omanian or O's, Red Sea Crabs? Give me input! I want to know what I should call them instead of trying to figure out how to say scaevola!
O's work for me, anyone else?
Separate names with a comma.
