Last night for the first time I put a bowl of Chamomile flowers in the tank, and a couple of hermies raided it. LOL, the flowers are all over the place.:p

Chamomile is very good for them! Have you tried roses or Calendula? It looks like confetti in my tank after I put those in the dish.

No, only those. What kind of roses? Dried? Fresh? Can I just go to the store and buy fresh ones?

Another thing, do I leave the flowers in the tank, or do I take them out the next day after feeding?

In front of the crabitat! :)
I'm not sure. I guess I'd take them out the next day as they could attract bugs into the tank.

The flowers can stay in there a long time. My crabs like the fresh ones wilted a bit. If you go to the store, see if they know if the flowers were treated with anything. Sometimes florists use a spray to keep them fresher. Try a farmers market, those are usually all organic. As for dried, mine like them that way as well.

I've purchased dried flowers, including roses, jasmine, chamomile, and marigold from a health food store. I use these as part of the day mix. I think maybe chamomile may have a calming effect on crabs as it does with people.

The chamomile flowers are dried, I bought them a grocery store, it's hard to find a health food store here in IL. I garden alot during the summer, so I should be good.:)
