Can't identify for sure

    ok, so I had two hermit crabs from one store that I got at the beach when I was on vacation. Those were for sure PP. But last week while doing some work at a closer beach I picked up another hermit crab after reading that maybe three would be better.
    I thought he was just a darker color than my others, but now I wonder if he's different all together. They were listed as "local brown crabs" on the cage.
    One of my original crabs died of stress, and after cleaning the shell I put it back in and while we were away that day my new crab transferred shells, so one would guess he's happy with what I set up, I just want to know what he is, and make sure he doesn't need special care.
    He acts pretty much the same as my other, likes the salt water and fresh water, and burying him self in the calci sand/forrest bedding mix I've made, maybe likes climbing a bit more is all.

    he's definally a PP.crabs come in all diff shapes, sizes and colors. when i was first crabbing 2 years ago. i had a Jumbo PP I named Rocky and he was very deep dark purple color. some of my younger PP's were a lighter red/purple color.

    They are all purple pinchers. All my hermies are purple pinchers. Welcome to HCRU and nice pics!
