I have a question. I have a 20 gallon tank with 11 crabs (small and medium sized crabs) and I have had for 6 weeks. I have done a lot of research but I still don't know what to do now that I need to clean cage.
Several have been buried (possibly molting)for week or longer. How do I do deep clean of cage, it seems that there will always be a few buried at one time.

you should be doing daily poop/food patrol. DEEP cleans can be done every 3-4 months depending. Sounds like a lot of crabs for that tank if they are more mediums than small. The more crabs vs space the dirtier it gets faster.

Basically you have to find a safe place to put them- warm and humid and remove everything- wash rinse etc and replace with clean substrate....

I have to do one myself *sigh*
