So this morning after getting ready for work I switch the light on and wouldn't you know?

I found a claw. And a little claw at that.
I know it belongs to my crab Aphrodite who should be molting right now.

I don't know how long the claw has been there...
If it's been there awhile it could have been covered.

I haven't seen Aphrodite in 2 weeks, he dug down around then.

I'm curious as to if he's okay or not, y'know?

My crabs hurt themselves all the time climbing around and dropping from various heights onto each other or their food bowls (it was near the food) so I hope it was that, my crabs don't bother each other during molts and since 2/4 were molting before Aphrodite and only my EE was up, he didn't do any tunneling for the past 4 weeks. So it couldn't have been him.

Could it be a left over from one of the previos molts? Sometimes they leave parts and pieces behind and it just showed up somehow. Was it fairly hollow?

I'd check to see if it was hollow, that would indicate it was from a molt. Got my fingers crossed!

It doesn't look hollow from the outside but it definitely is on the inside.
The pincer outside looks just like it would be on your typical healthy PP.
Hopefully it was just Hermes; because he waits really long between molts he pretty much doubles in size.
I have my fingers crossed as well.

big claws dont change color if they are old. And it probably was from a molt.
