I just got organic chicken-veggie baby food and green bean baby food. The chicken one contains brown rice flour. Is this safe? Also I heard you need to freeze them into tiny dots or cube. Do you have to do this right away?

you should. i do not reccomend ice cubes because it is to much all i do is get some wax paper and put small globs on put it on a plate freeze it after it is frozen put in baggie then put back in freezer. when u freeze the meat it will look lighter in color and chalky looking but when it melts it looks the same again

Actually hermies need the nutrients you can find in grains, so oatmeal (not instant, but rolled oats are good) and wheat germ and brown rice are great for them. You can even find those items in the bulk section at your grocery store, in the natural foods, and can buy tiny bits at a time for almost nothing. :)
That is where I get my kelp and spirulina too (seaweed, they really need it), also for almost nothing. Check out the bulk food, you can find dried fruits with no additives in them too!

I put a glob on the food dish, then I put Ocean on the food dish to see how she like it. She seemed to really enjoy it! Ocean was eating it for five or ten minutes, first in the food dish, then on my hand! Hand feeding her was so much fun! :) :D :)

Crusty is alive and well! :) :D In fact, I'm playing with him right now! You're right, I should talk about him more. I just haven't mentioned him in a while because I never had a problem with him yet (knock on wood). Ocean and Sherbert both were surface molters :( so I posted a lot of threads about them.

I don't really feed mine baby food because it's sort of expensive and I find plenty of stuff around my house so I just feed it to them and don't take risks or anything.
