  1. well, I finally got around to doing the 44g after doing the 55 last week, so here are pics!

lets start with the new crabs:

one of the two tiny ones
    [IMG]

I bought this one for the shell, since I thought my E's might like it after he leaves it for a comfy turbo
    [IMG]

and the other tiny one, freshly molted:

    my tank before:

    before without the greenery:

after, before greenery (I mixed the sand and EE together, and then will get some playsand to put behind the two logs where there is just a small layer of substrate now:

the little ones in their holding cell

when I was taking them out the big one in the white turbo (not normally pinchy, grabed my palm and let me know he was NOT happy! :angry4: he actually broke the skin! I swear, it is only the PP's about that size (golf ball) that pinch! :angry4: anyone looking for some? I got two that I could pass along! :tongue3:

here's an areal view of it done:

and here are some of the crabs:

and here are my E's, which I moved over the the 55 with my straws, and then I'll probably move some of the PPs currently in the 33 over to the 44 at some point.

don't their eye's make you melt???

and then the last one I found in a shell way too small for him (a PP was wearing his old shell)

he could only tuck down his eyes...so sad!

...but, in the 55, he promtly changed into a better fitting shell, then caused a domino effect with 2 others also changing shells!

here they are in the 55

see the red antenea just behind the corkbark, those are from one of my straws...at least 5 times bigger than my e's!

    so here's the final breakdown

    55g

    9 large PPs
    4 large Straws
    9 small (1 is probably a med actually) E's
    ____
    21 total

    44g

26 PPs from tiny (just above micro) to med (just under large)
    1 med/large cav
    2 small rugs
    ____
    29 total
