We have 2 hc's. The more social one has changed his shell 3 times in days, and is now back in his original one. What's going on? Was he just bored?

Ok, that makes me feel better. He seems fine and the shell he's in seems to fit. It was the one the lady at the store picked out for him for 2 changes down the line, and that was just on July 9. I got the other shells at Hobby Lobby (kinda like Michaels) and they look just like the shell on the crab at the top of this page. So I'm assuming I'm using the right kind of shells? Pretty sure he's a PP. The new shells do seem quite a bit heavier than the ones from the pet store. Would that have anything to do with him being picky...is he just a weakling?? lol

Ok, thanks! Luckily, that's what these are. Am I supposed to boil them first? I rinsed them out in dc water, but I didn't boil them.

Know that hermies sometimes change shells like we change shoes. And then there are times that they don't change for weeks.

I have one crab that changes multiple times a day - tries on any new shell that is placed in his tank. Another won't ever touch the shell shop.

2 of my crabs are in shells way to big for them and i have shells that would be the perfect fit but sometimes they are just picky and like to try out new shells

My crabs mostly just look at the shells and walk right by them. I got my jumbo 5 new shells just his size because he is way to small for his current shell and he just won't switch!
