Very nice! Will the crabs eat the palms? I was wondering about putting live plants in the crabitat...I know I need to check and see if the are safe first...Are cactii allowable?

ive yet to see them eat the palms, and i dont think catii are good for them because they( the crabs) are from a tropical envirment where there are no catii.

the only problem ive have with the palm , is that you have to take it out every other week to let it get the bright light and to water it. anmd its some times a hard plant to take care of. i have an 2 plams 1 in the tank and 1 out and i switch them in and out every week or so.

I was kind of wondering how well they survive in the crabitat. I like your idea of having two and switching them out. Great thinking!

Really good idea to have palms in the crabitat because palms do photosynthesis a little different than other plants (I forget exactly how) but it makes them create more oxygen than many other plants which will give your hermies more oxygen while also purifying the air by removing CO2. I really gotta try that.
