      9. ok you are trying to get some and remember you have to have 3 extra shells per crab 10. ok 11. ok too mush crabbie stress only change the substrate once or twice a year or if it molds, and I only change the food pick up scattered food and clean up crabbie doodles and ya don't have to clean the glass or toys unless there's bugs or mold 12. that's good you don't use any they're awful and watch the humidity

K so here is a way to help your crab care :) : I will go through how u can improve by the question's numbers 1. your substrate has to be 3x your biggest crab 2. here's a link on how to check the humidity gauge: http: //www.hermitcrabassociation.com/pages/calibrate.html check it out it'll help 3. good but try to keep it above 73 and below 80 4. you need two water bowls with declorinated fresh water and aquarium saltwater mix like instant ocean and the bowls need to be deep enough to submerge 5. commercial crab pellets are bad for them because of all the preservatives here's another link: HCA: Hermit Crab Association® :: Index it helps look at it 6. here this will help: http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/pages/species.jpg 7. you need a lid to keep in humidity until you get one I would suggest using seran wrap 8. ok

      9. There are currently no shells in the tank, but I am going to try to make a trip to Petco or Petsmart soon to buy some more supplies.
      10. There have been no fumes and no chemicals recently near or in the same room as the crabitat.
      11. I clean the tank once every 2 weeks. I take out all the substrate and all the objects, and then I use a damp towel to rub the tank down. I clean it thoroughly, than I put new substrate in, new food in, and clean all the accesories.
      12. I do not use any sponges. The substrate is kept damp, so that takes care of humidity.

      6. I have had my hermies for a month and a half. I am not sure what species they are.
      7. I keep my hermies in a 30-gallon glass aquarium. They currently have no lid, but I am trying to purchase one.
      8. I have 3 hermit crabs in the tank. Their names are Romeo, Elmo, and Juliet. (I got Romeo and Elmo on the same day, and Juliet I got about 3 weeks later).

      4. I provide a large water dish or fresh, spring water for my hermies.
      5. I feed them a pelletized crab food, which is their main diet. I occasionaly give them (coconut, mango, papaya, wheat germ, apple, and rolled oat) treats.

      1. I have 2-3" of EE (Eco Earth).
      2. Yes, I am not sure of the exact cordinates of the gauges. The temperature gauge is usually 70% or higher. The humidity gauge is currently reading 30%, which I know is not right. I am trying to increase the humidity.
      3. As a heat source, I purchased an Under Tank Heater for my hermies. It works very well, keeping the substrate nice and warm.
