Well a friend gave me a tank with one crab in it with gravel as a substrate. I have since gotten 8 more PPs. They dont seem to mind the gravel but I am gonna change it today to eco earth on one side and gravel around their bowls. They have molted in gravel and his hermies did very well in it but everything i have read says NO to gravel.

Because I only have 1 crab, I don't have to have an ISO right now. I might get 1 or 2 crabs today though.

half calci-sand (for molting help) and half coco bark in cubes. 2" sand on bottom, 1" coco bark on top.

What kind of substrate do you use?

Another thing you can do with fake plants is part-bury them in your substrate.

Well I have a 20g with driftwood, cholla, and nets with suction cups to attach them to the side of the tank. The little guys love crawling on the nets. I dont like the fake plants bc my guys just knock them over.

Trying to find ideas for my crabitat. I have a 10 gallon with driftwood, half-log, and a fake plant. Do you have any ideas for stimulating Nita to come out of her hole?
